The Explorer is the baseline expedition boat known for its rough water stability, comfort in conditions and carrying capacity in a smaller boat. No other boat produced today has been paddled in as many new and wild waters as the Explorer.
Pilgrim & Pilgrim Expedition - Kayaks In Stock
These lower volume kayaks are specifically designed for the lighter paddler with day paddling loads. The hull is narrower offers more speed while keeping its full waterline engaged while day paddling with lighter loads. With its new bumps, we've seen lots of 175 lb paddlers in the Expedition; yet its narrowness allows the 100 lb paddler to use its full length for expedition speeds. These kayaks roll like a dream, behaves like all the NDKs in bumpy water, is easily turned and controlled in the wind. The Expedition now holds the female record for paddling around Ireland and Anglesey - its got the volume to travel. All with new seat which comes in 3 sizes, and new composite skeg box.

The Old Town Cayuga's are performance recreational boats. Designed by Necky and Old Town's professional designer/paddler's Spike & Murray, these boats have many of the same high secondary stability traits of the modern sea kayaks, but in a user friendly wider hull, and simple, solid, do anything design. I prefer the 130 personally for its fun factor. Take these surfing, rock gardening, put your inexperienced friends in them, and get out on the water. The boats have the safety of multiple bulkheads, but mostly they are just... fun to paddle!
