The earlier you call us with your interests, the better chance we’ll have of securing your desired date. If we’re on another line or out paddling, we will return your call. Group size is limited. If it is the last minute, try us anyhow, you never know. To secure your reservation, Maine Island Kayak Co and Maine Island Kayak Outfitters require full payment by MC, Visa or check for events costing $200 or less. For events costing more than $200, we request a deposit of 1/2 the total cost for the event, with the balance due 2 weeks prior to your program.

I. Day and Half-Day Trips
Our Day and Half-Day Trips are offered by Maine Island Kayak Outfitters, a Maine Company managed by Joe and Sharoan DuPont of Peaks Island. Just call us to reserve your spot (207-766-2373). You will be asked to sign a Waiver of Liability and Release before beginning your trip.

II. Multi-Day Trips and Courses
For Multi-Day Trips and Courses, your registration is complete when we receive the following two (2) completed forms (download from links below) along with your deposit.
A. Maine Island Kayak Multi-Day Trip & Course Reservation Form [PDF 20k]
Note our refund policy in the fine print and sign your name.
B. Waiver of Liability and Release Form and Health Questionnaire [PDF 80k] (be sure to list what trip or course you are taking).
For Private and Corporate Trips & Courses, first speak with Joe or Tom about your goals, interests and needs so we can schedule your paddle or course.

Maine island kayak offerings go regardless of weather unless MIKCO determines conditions dangerous. See cancellation policy below.

Minimum: Most trips have a 4 person minimum.
Cancellations & Refunds: If we cancel a trip due to too few participants or due to unsafe weather or sea conditions we'll send you a full refund. If you cancel with 21 days notice, we'll send you a full refund less a $35 administrative fee, 75% of the total cost with 14-20 days notice, 50% of the total cost with 8-13 days notice, but no refund if you cancel with less than 7 days notice - unless we fill your spot from a waiting list.
Health Insurance: We recommend that tyou have health and evacuation insurance, as you're responsible for any health and medical costs incurred.
Miscellaneous: Under 18 years of age requires special parental consent and minor forms. We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone we feel is a risk to themselves or others.
