Maine Island Kayak Co’s available trips and expeditions feature Maine’s 2000+ coastal islands with protected waters (200 alone in Casco Bay), short crossings and three distinct ecosystems stretched over hundreds of miles. The Gulf of Maine is prime kayaking with its tiers of islands, reasonable winds, accessible shorelines, and abundance of small fishing villages. The average committed paddler can create memorable journeys wandering through our island paradise. Any of our venues are available for private booking with your group of 4 or more if our schedule doesn’t meet yours.

Half day trips are great for investigating kayaking and getting an initial sense of what it means to be in a small boat on the living ocean. Full day trips allow us to take more time to get to know the history and natural wonders of the bay and to really get a feel for the sport of sea kayaking. Either way spending a day gliding on the cool ocean waters is a great way to spend a summer day.
