Since 1986 Maine Island Kayak Company has provided educational trips and courses throughout the Gulf of Maine.

Location
Our base is located on Peaks Island, 100 miles north of Boston and a 15 minute ferry ride from Portland. You'll step into your boat smack in the middle of a perfect paddling area, without having to drive hours more.

Our Gulf of Maine trip pricing is all inclusive…instructor/guides, great kayaks, top notch safety and camp gear and excellent food on multidays.
Courses
Our course pricing includes all kayaks and gear, kayak clothing, lunches, instructional materials, and our excellent BCU and Nordkapp Trust certified Instructor/Coaches.
